Science Saturday - February 22
From 10 a.m. until 16 p.m.

Do you know the Yukigassen? This sport which is between the dodge ball and the game of the flag is played as a team, with snowballs. Come relive the atmosphere of the Tuques War at the Geopark!

10h - Scientific morning for 5 to 12 year olds
The Geopark scientific mornings were all the rage in the summer of 2019. They are back for the Science and Nature Weekend! Children will have the opportunity to explore the earth sciences in the company of our experienced guides.
At the Tektonik Pavilion
12h - Picnic and legends outdoors, around the fire, with Tim Adams
Our Micmac friend from Gespeg, Tim Adams, will come to host an extraordinary dinner! An immersion in the playful and somewhat magical world of the Mig'mag people. Bring your lunch. Hot soup and marshmallows for sale on site.
13h - Microscopic creation workshop
At the Geopark, we like to think big! By discovering the world seen on a microscopic scale, children will express their creativity with our guides, through a series of surprising discoveries!
At the Tektonik Pavilion
14h30 - Start of the snow sculpture competition
Registration of teams and rules on site. The participation prizes will be awarded on Sunday afternoon.
16h - Unveiling of the short film "Living Memories", a tribute to the builders featuring local personalities, who tell Percé and share their vision of the future. Under the supervision of Isabelle Cyr-Parent, this touching work was filmed in 2019 by interns in history from the University of Sherbrooke.

19h - Planetarium activity
Are you interested in the sky, the planets, the universe? Do not miss the return of Gino Audet who arrives again this year with his planetarium at the Tektonik Pavilion!

11h Fat bike initiation in collaboration with the Coin-du-Banc base camp
This winter sport is becoming more and more popular! Come and find out with specialist Jean-François Tapp. Are you curious about the Ski-Hok? A few pairs available on site will satisfy your curiosity about this sport more and more practiced at the Geopark!
13h Snowshoe race, registration on site, participation fee
What could be more spectacular than a brave snowshoer trying to win a race? Come admire the bravest snowshoers (or be admired by the crowd) at the Geopark campsite!
14h Presentation of the participation prices for the Snow Sculpture Competition
